Hmong American Mediation Center seeks to strengthen families, preserve cultural values, and foster unity within the community.
Our mission is to:
Provide alternatives to court proceedings for family and juvenile.
Assist Southeast Asian Minnesotans in navigating the family court system.
Strengthen cultural ties and preserve traditions.
Educate the community on both traditional and legal methods of conflict resolution and harm restoration.
CMRS Facilitator & Repair of Harm Training
Completed training with Community Mediation and Restorative Services, Inc. on Juvenile Harm Restoration. We believe there is always an alternative to the court system, focusing on repairing harm and preventing future recidivism.
Empowering the Youth
Hmong American Mediation believes that building a strong community starts at the roots. We were proud to celebrate young children from our community winning awards at our first annual picnic.
Community Empowerment
Hmong American Mediation proudly hosted our first annual picnic in 2025, with a wonderful turnout from the community. After all, good food always brings people together.
The vision of HAMC is to bridge cultural gaps within the community by providing mediation and restorative services to families in need. Its mission is to foster mutual understanding between traditional and Western systems, strengthen community and cultural ties, and promote healing while preventing future domestic conflict or harm.
